My Sister I was so lucky to have Rosemary as my Big Sister. She was the most kind and thoughtful person, who put everyone before herself. She inherited all our mother’s wonderful characteristics. I have lived overseas for most of our adult lives but we have always remained close. We have spent many holidays together, some being very special as just the two of us when we had lots of giggles and laughs. It was so great to reminisce on these times. In past years we were living in South Africa and she came to visit on many occasions. We all went to Botswana many times on Safari where she enjoyed viewing her favourite animals, the Elephants. Many were the times we sat under the beautiful star lit sky in front of the camp fire and she particularly enjoyed a glass of Red with Dave, and we relaxed and just enjoyed being together in the beautiful place. Since we have been in Australia for the last 3 years we have had a regular Thursday FaceTime chat, early evening for me and early morning for Ro. Everything was planned around that time, dinner being early no chats to the family until that was over. We chatted about old times and I could always vent my feeling with her and she would listen and advise. A few years ago I was sick in South Africa and she came to look after me when Dave had to go away. She made me this awful spinach which we always laughed about after and while I was here visiting her during her last days she said she was waiting for the spinach, and we laughed! Up to her final days she was still telling us what we had to give Reg for dinner! Always thinking of others when she herself was so frail and ill. I will miss you so much my precious sister but you will always be in my thoughts and prayers and I’ll still chat to you every Thursday so listen out for me! Thank you for being the best sister! I love you! Margaret I have to also mention Dave who will also miss you greatly and always wanted to join in our chats but he wasn’t allowed much time as it was our time!
